Birthday Fun

My birthday fell on a Friday this year so Dave had to work but the kids and I headed off to the zoo for some fall fun. The place was decorated for Boo at the Zoo so we were able to enjoy all their holiday decorations.

 The children's zoo just opened a new exhibit of jelly fish, we had some happy kids.

 The sea lions were very active the day we were there, and the place was packed. If you haven't seen them yet, it's worth checking out.

 We've never taken the kids over to the Grand Basin and the weather was great so we went over to check out the view.

 We walked down to the lake and found a beautiful weeping willow. One of my favorite trees.

 Once Dave was home we all went out to dinner and came home we had cupcakes. In the middle of a lovely rendition of "happy birthday" Noah blew out my candle! He thought it was hilarious and Abby was shocked.

 I love our little family.

Photo Dump - October

The beginning of October was relatively low key for us. Here's a few pics of the kiddos.

 The love this boy feels for Buzzlight year is unending. He carries one of his many Buzz figurines or dolls with him most of the time.

 He also has a thing for dressing up. I wonder where he gets that from?! Here's our little man as batman/dinosaur.

 And there's this.. their youthful happiness. They sure love each other.

 Abby taught Noah how to roll down the hill.

They love to watch the high school cross country team run by our backyard.

Abby drew this picture of me. I was quite surprised by the upper body work... but she later told us it's just poofy sleeves not my chest.

"Jesus love me"

Abby: Noah did you know God is holding you in the palm of his hand. Noah: Ohhhh his hand? Abby: So he is always by your side to keep you safe and calm. Noah: He's my friend? Abby: God loves you very much. Breaks out into "Jesus loves me" Abby and Noah attend preschool at a baptist church, she speaks about God a lot. We don't take the kids to church but three days of preschool a week seem to be more than enough for Abby. I wonder how much she'll carry with her to public school next year.
