Independence!

Abby has become VERY independent lately. She wants to do everything herself. This includes putting on and taking off clothes, feeding herself everything instead of just most things, brushing her own teeth (which we don't let her do yet), getting books off the bookshelf that are hidden under others, etc.

Her favorite new phrase is "Abby do it." It's very cute when she says it. But, it does create problems too. For example, we don't let her brush her teeth on her own for obvious reasons (although we have started giving her the brush to let her do it in addition to when we brush her teeth). She gets really mad when we tell her she can't do something.

The other night, we went to a party at 1PM. Let's just say, putting off naptime until 3:30 is NOT a good idea. I have never seen her so bad. She cried for three straight hours. Right before bed on this night, she wanted some yogurt. She kept saying "Abby do it" "Abby do it!" So, I mixed it up, and tried to hand her the spoon. Well, apparently she thought I was trying to feed it to her instead of hand her the spoon. WOAH!!! She FREAKED out! She threw an absolute tantrum!

The last few days, she has been better behaved, which has been a nice change of pace! The terrible two's sure did come early! Argh!
