Sorry it's been so long. Summer is busy.
Last week my grandparents visited from Little Rock, AR. They were here just 24 hours so we packed a lot into it. We spent our time, swimming at their hotel, eating out, and we check out the World Bird Sanctuary. This is another great free place to take kids in St. Louis. I do a lot of segments on my show with the sanctuary and in return scored a private tour of the place. It's too bad our camera battery died in the middle of the tour, so I don't have a lot of photos. Plus the fact that it was about 90 degrees and had just finished raining, not ideal conditions for an outdoor tour. But thankfully my grandparents live in Little Rock and are use to hot and humid conditions.
Grandma & Abby chatting after swimming at the hotel.
Abby loved this crane, the sanctuary has over 250 birds.
These birds were fanning their feathers to dry out after the storm had rolled through.
Chickens
Later in the visit Abby was able to touch one of these crazy looking chickens.
This is Becky holding the bunny, she gave us our tour. I think the bunny was Abby's favorite part of the whole tour.
Saying goodbye after 24 hours of fun.
Just a few days after they left, Sally, Steven and my dad came down to stay with us. Sally was recently accepted to William Woods University in Fulton, MO. The school is just two hours from our house! Sal still hasn't decided if she wants to come to school here, but she's thinking about it. (Please Sally!!)
Sally loved the swingset.
