An Update

Back to school is always a busy time. So, here's a few updates for you from the past few weeks.

- On our walk tonight, Abby kept stopping and wanting to be picked up the rest of the way. We kept telling her that she had to walk on her own and she pitched a fit each time. But, we kept her moving. We were almost home when she yelled "pants! pants!" We looked down and her pants were around her ankles. We almost died laughing. Once we got those pulled back up, she was happy as could be. Most of her shorts don't fit anymore since she's in underwear instead of her diapers.

- Abby is well on her way to being a two year old. It's ridiculous. A few weeks ago, it's like a switch flipped into two-year old mode. She developed an attitude over night.

- Peggy started her new schedule today. 9-5 Monday to Friday. It's going to be quite an adjustment for us all (especially Abby), but we'll make it. In the end, it's a very good thing. We can finally have our evenings and weekends together as a family.

- The new baby is trying to drive Peggy crazy. Most food doesn't taste right to her anymore. She doesn't puke as much as last pregnancy, but it's still more than anyone should have to endure.

- The house.....we were very hopeful in the first couple of weeks. We had a ton of showings in a short period of time. But those have mostly died down. We were really close to getting an offer at least once. We were told that an offer was coming, but it never did. Then, the people came to look at the house for a third time. Again, we assumed that after three showings to the same person, we'd get an offer. But no luck. Apparently, it was down to ours or another house, and we lost out. Bummer dude.
I think we've come to realize that we may just end up selling next spring. I know it's early still, but activity has completely died off. Selling/buying in the spring wouldn't be such a bad thing. There will be more people to buy our house and more people selling, which gives us more options.
We're trying not to look at too many houses too seriously. We're in a tough situation. We don't want to look too much and not be able to buy. But, if an offer does come in, we want to have a house in order to buy. We just don't want to absolutely fall in love with a house and not be able to do anything about it.

So, that's our update. I know posting has been slow as of late. We'll try to do a better job!
